The Bellaire Exchange Club: Fire Department Appreciation

The Bellaire Exchange Club hosts an annual Bellaire Fireperson of the Year Award. Each year's recipient receives a $1000.00 gift comprised of a combination of cash and gift certificates donated by local businesses.

The kick-off of the first annual Bellaire Exchange Club Fireperson of the Year Award occurred at Bellaire City Hall on October 14th 2004. At this meeting, Texas Gulf Coast District President for Exchange, Dorothy Nall, presented Bellaire Fire Chief J.J. Bettega with a certificate of appreciation from Exchange. Elias Zinn from the Bellaire chapter also presented a national Exchange Club "Proudly We Hail" plaque for the Fire Station.

The first annual award is planned for April of 2005, with subsequent awards to be given every year at the same time.
